Working meeting was held with Maksym Shylov, Head of Complex Property & Liability Solutions, Baltic States at GrECo Group, Austria and PhD candidate at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. His doctoral research focuses on the application of weather risk transfer tools in the food processing industry. Alongside his academic work, he has extensive professional experience in international risk management and insurance, particularly in the agri-food sector across Central and Eastern Europe.
Following the meeting, Mr. Shylov has prested a lecture titled "A study on the impact of weather on sugar production – a case study from Poland" to the graduate students of "Trade and International Business" and showed how weather conditions affect agricultural output and how these effects translate into economic and financial consequences for the food industry.
